Cummins Generator Technologies, Stamford

New warehouse facility for Cummins generators.

In May 2018 we commenced the groundworks package on a new warehouse facility for repeat client Lindums Peterborough.

Main works include reinforced pile cap foundations, foul and surface water drainage systems, underground services, car park and 1400m2 of fibre reinforced  concrete service yard.

During the construction phases we also prepared and cast 400m3 of pile supported warehouse floor slab to FM3 tolerance. Within the floor we also had to build intricate pits to house the new conveyor's which allow the generators to be moved throughout the factory. Due to the integral design of each pit with the pile supported floor and the complexed depth and sizes, cafeful consideration had to be implemented on each pour in terms of stop end positioning to allow the next stage to be formed and cast.

Midway through the contract we were allocated with installing a new 2000m2 car park using a 100% recycled porous paving grid system. other works consisted of bulk earthworks, kerbing and footpath construction.

The project was completed on time and within budget
